Richard Bates

Richard's professional expertise is in the area of digital transmission technology, working at British Telecom Research Labs, Bell Telephone Labs, IBM Research Labs and his own Internet services company. He was a student at St. John's College, Cambridge and received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from Cambridge University, England. Richard became a citizen of the USA in 2002. He enjoys singing, sailing and running.
