Released offenders often return to the same environment that contributed to their crimes, increasing chances that they will commit similar offenses in the future. The Community Reentry Program (CRP) assists individuals in the transition from jail back into the community. A team of two volunteer mentors meet regularly with the individual during incarceration and for up to 6 months after release providing assistance and referrals on such matters as employment, housing, money management, substance abuse, parenting, anger management, and alternatives to violence. |
