The Belfast-based Restorative Justice Project of the Midcoast is a grassroots,
community-based agency that promotes a cultural shift in society's response to crime, jail
and punishment. It provides mentoring for adult and juvenile offenders, as well as an
innovative process for dealing with behavior issues in the schools. The RJP is currently
seeking a highly motivated individual looking for a challenging opportunity in a cutting
edge environment, eager to play a vital role in our administration. This is a part-time

Overview: The Office Manager is responsible for providing support to agency staff,
creating efficient and effective operational processes and managing general
administrative duties as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
Program
- Update, duplicate and collate mentor training manuals;
- Manage and maintain status reports of program participants and volunteer
mentors;
- Assist in collection, tabulation and reporting of program evaluation data and
findings.
Volunteers
- Manage and maintain all program volunteer records;
- Manage volunteer recruitment releases, applications, background checks,
reference checks and all annual volunteer correspondence.
Development
- Develop, manage and maintain new donor database;
- Manage proposal submission calendar and establish systems that ensure all
deadlines are met.
Communications
- Maintain website; ensure clean and updated content, in collaboration with web
master;
- Establish relationships with local media; develop and submit news stories and
manage database of press clippings;
- Develop and manage production of volunteer newsletter.
Administration
- Manage data input and reporting processes for agency budget, income, and
billing;
- Develop and distribute Board information packets and committee reports;
- Develop system for efficient maintenance of 501c(3) annual report
documentation;
- Manage internal administration systems: filing systems, logistics, equipment
maintenance, supplies, services, materials and overall office "upkeep;"
- Develop and maintain annual office calendar (deadlines, events, production
schedules, proposal submissions, etc);
- Daily phone coverage;
- Other projects/duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Equivalent or higher related work experience;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, time/project management
and problem solving skills;
- Friendly and professional demeanor;
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, set high standards for
accuracy and efficiency, and demonstrate a strong work ethic;
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications; familiarity with Mind Your Own
Business accounting software preferred;
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-energy and highly collaborative environment;
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize/manage multiple tasks at once;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of staff, Board
members, volunteers and program participants;
- Ability and willingness to keep sensitive information confidential;
- Commitment to and understanding of our mission.
Hours: 20 hours/week: 10am-3pm, Monday-Thursday
Salary range: $12-14/hour
