Project Connect! The Community Mural being painted in downtown Belfast on 10.26.19
Project Connect! Connection is the opposite of addiction.

The mural project is part of a larger event entitled What’s Art Got to Do With It? on November 1,2,3, a 3-day Arts and Activism conference sponsored by the Belfast Creative Coalition in partnership with the University of Maine, Hutchinson, on how the arts can help address the opioid epidemic in Maine.
The conference summons the power arts to help address the opioid epidemic in Maine. Local artists may be invited to display work at the November 1, Friday evening Keynote event at the Belfast United Farmer’s Market.

The initial painting of the mural began at 4:00, October 25th, the Belfast Fourth Friday Art Walk, in the green space next to Tracie's Diner. We’ll be there every night afterwards, leading up to the conference.
