Training to Volunteer
Throughout the year, we have trainings for new volunteers. You'll begin with our Foundations training, which prepares you for at least one year of volunteering with us. After completing Foundations training, you partner with your local county coordinator to discuss and explore next steps based on which volunteer role(s) feel right for you. Learn more about Foundations training -- and when we have trainings scheduled, you can register here.
Time Commitment
The time commitment of volunteering is flexible around your schedule, and varies from about 1 hour a week for 2-4 months as a mentor, to a single two-hour commitment with sitting in a circle as a neutral community member, to more time commitment as a facilitator. In 2022, we will begin exploring new roles for volunteers who can contribute to the new development of our community justice hubs in Knox, Waldo, Lincoln, and Sagadahoc counties.
